Homework
Each week, a newsletter will be sent home in your child's folder explaining what the homework will be for the that week. We will usually have homework on Mondays-Thursdays to practice skills that we have been learning in class. If you ever have any questions about homework, please let me know!
Spelling
Each week, we will be studying a different spelling pattern in class through a variety of learning activities. We will explain each week's spelling pattern in the weekly newsletter along with some examples of words that follow the pattern. You are welcome to discuss and practice the example words with your child in any way that you would like. I will not be collecting spelling homework from the children. However, if you feel that you need more structure, you are welcome to follow the guidelines below.
Monday: Study the words & spelling pattern. Write each word three times.
Tuesday: Study the words & spelling pattern. Spell the words out loud to someone or take a practice test.
Wednesday: Study the words & spelling pattern. Use each word in a sentence.
Thursday: Study the words & spelling pattern. Spell the words out loud to someone or take a practice test.
Friday: Test at school.
